Homeland Park Honorary Fireman
The Homeland Park Honorary Fireman status is an award that is given to past firemen
which gives them a lifetime membership in HPFD.
The qualifications are:
A fireman who has dedicated himself to the depatrment for 10 years and has demonstrated outstanding performance in the line of duty. Has also demonstrated leadership and is loked uponas a montor by other members of the deprtment. And has proven himself to be a asset to the fire service and his community.
Having 10 years doesn't automatically make you a honorary member.
Any member who feels he has meet the criteria to be a honorary member may request it when:
1. Member is ready to retire from the fire service
2. Lifestyle (Family Life) no longer permits involvement.
3. Health Reasons
4. Moving from the district after spending his time at HPFD
Officers will review the request and decide if all criteria has been met, and if found qualified then it is taken to the men of the station for a secret ballot vote.
