On May 16, 2009 Several members mad e a trip to California, Maryland to inspect an engine for possible purchase by HPFD. What makes this engine sort of special is that its sister Truck 3 had just been received by Broadway Fire Department, one of our assisting stations. After that weekend members from HPFD and BDVFD continued talking about the possible purchase and logistics surrounding it. On May 30, 2009  four members from HPFD made the trip to bring her to Anderson, SC. The engine will be a several month long project for the members of HPFD. The engine will be reworked to better fit the needs and operational factors for our department. We would like to say thanks to all the helpful firemen and officers of Bay District Station 3 in helping keep this 'War Wagon' in action.
